Our Story

This Land Is What We Know.

We didn't learn land management in a classroom. We learned it by doing it — on our own land, near the Canadian border in northern Minnesota, for generations.

Where We Come From

Generations of Land. One Decision to Help Others.

Northern Land & Forestry grew out of something simple — a family that has managed land near the Canadian border in northern Minnesota for generations. We farmed for agriculture, raised cattle, and managed food plots — learning what it takes to keep land in good shape year after year.

We still own and manage 4,000 acres in the Lancaster and Hallock area. That land isn't just where we're from — it's where we still work. When we talk about land management, we're talking about something we do ourselves, not just something we sell.

At some point it made sense to take that knowledge and put it to work for other landowners. Whether you've got a few acres that need clearing or a larger parcel you're not sure what to do with, we've likely dealt with the same situation on our own land. We're not here to oversell you — we're here to help you figure out what your land needs and get it done.

Northern Land & Forestry is woman-owned and operated. Nicole runs every project personally and is the person you'll talk to from the first call to the last day on site.

What Drives the Work

Rooted in the Land We Grew Up On.

Northern Minnesota Roots

We grew up near the Canadian border in the Lancaster and Hallock area — land that demands respect and rewards hard work. That upbringing shapes everything we do.

Generations of Land Management

Our family has managed land for generations — farming for agriculture, raising cattle, and managing food plots. We know what it takes to keep land productive and healthy over the long haul.

4,000 Acres, Still Working

We still own and manage 4,000 acres in the Lancaster and Hallock area. This isn't just a business — it's land we live on and care for ourselves.

Sharing What We Know

After years of managing our own land, we decided to put that knowledge to work for others. If you own land and aren't sure what to do with it, we've probably dealt with the same situation ourselves.
